Bunbury Eisteddfod News

Many of our students at Dunsborough Primary are well on the way to preparing their entries for the Bunbury Eisteddfod (Festival) in June with their private tutors in Instrument, Dance, Drama and other performance areas. Anyone can enter and there are some great categories.

All private entries must be completed on-line, with the closing date being Monday, 25 March 2013.

Participants must complete and pay for their own entries and are asked to manage their entries and choice of pieces with their teachers. For most sections, an accompanist or recorded accompaniment is required and this is the responsibility of the individual performer to arrange as the Eisteddfod does not provide an official accompanist.

Have a good look at the Eisteddfod schedule and see if anything suits you. It's for all ages and is an Education Department sanctioned event. This year I would like you to let me know which events your child may be in so I can publish the results in our newsletter

Our school choir performed very well last year to win our category and our stage photo is the feature photo for this year's choral flyer - most exciting! I've included a photo (above) of us waiting backstage to be called on to perform "Hot Chocolate".

Yours musically
