Kaya and welcome to Dunsborough Primary School.
“Together Everyone Achieves More” is more than our school motto. It reflects our belief that students achieve their best when families, staff and the wider community work together with a shared purpose.
Located in the historic heart of Dunsborough, close to Old Dunsborough Beach, our school is surrounded by trees, natural bushland and extensive nature play areas. This unique environment creates a welcoming and connected school with a strong community spirit and a genuine sense of belonging.
At the heart of Dunsborough Primary School is our commitment to ensuring every child is known, supported and encouraged to grow into their best self. Our values of Integrity, Connection, Collaboration, Resilience, Empathy and Inclusivity guide the way we learn, work and care for one another.
We maintain high expectations for teaching and learning, with literacy and numeracy providing strong foundations for success. Our teachers use evidence-informed and explicit teaching practices, supported by collaborative planning, ongoing assessment and careful analysis of student progress. This enables us to respond to individual needs, provide targeted support and extend students through challenging and engaging learning opportunities.
We also believe that a quality education reaches well beyond academic achievement. Students benefit from specialist learning in Physical Education, Music, Visual Arts, Technologies and Languages- Japanese, along with opportunities in sustainability and cultural learning. These experiences help our students develop confidence, curiosity, creativity and the skills needed to contribute positively to their community.
The wellbeing of every student remains central to our work. Our caring and dedicated staff build respectful relationships and create inclusive, culturally responsive learning environments in which students feel safe, valued and ready to learn. Through our whole-school wellbeing and behaviour approaches, Student Services processes and targeted intervention programs, we work to ensure every child receives the support they need to thrive.
We are proud to learn and grow on Wadandi Noongar Boodja and continue to strengthen our students’ understanding of local culture, history and connection to Country. Our Meeka Meelup mural, yarning circle, Cultural Ambassadors and Quedjinup Leadership Group are important parts of this continuing journey.
Our 2026 Public School Review affirmed the high levels of trust within our community, the collaborative culture among our staff, the genuine care shown to students and the pride our students have in their school. It also recognised our strong commitment to reflection, evidence-based decision-making and continuous improvement.
We value the contribution of our families, School Board, P&C and community partners. Their involvement strengthens our school and helps us provide rich opportunities and positive experiences for every student.
I feel privileged to lead Dunsborough Primary School and to work alongside such committed staff, wonderful students and supportive families. I warmly invite you to explore our website, contact our friendly office team or arrange a school tour to experience our community firsthand.
